Why do most women of Bletchley, Milton Keynes struggle to find consistency?

Consistency is the cornerstone of success in any endeavor, especially when it comes to your health & well-being. Whether you're aiming to build muscle, lose weight, or improve your athletic performance, staying consistent with your training regimen is key. However, despite our best intentions, many of us find it challenging to maintain consistency over the long term. In this blog, I'll explore some common reasons why the women of Bletchley, Milton Keynes have this uphill battle with consistency in training and offer practical tips to overcome these obstacles.


  • Lack of Clear Goals: One of the primary reasons people struggle to stay consistent with training is a lack of clear goals. There is this sense of pressure to be in a “bulk” or “cut”, there is absolutely nothing wrong with looking to lead a healthier life! Without a specific target to work towards, it's easy to lose motivation and veer off track. To overcome this, take the time to define your goals and break them down into smaller, actionable steps. Whether it's running a marathon, deadlifting double your  body weight, or simply improving your overall fitness level, having one clear goal will give you something to strive for and help keep you focused. Emphasis on the ONE.


  • Unrealistic Expectations: Another common pitfall is setting unrealistic expectations for yourself. It's important to be ambitious, but it's equally important to be realistic about what you can achieve in a given timeframe. We live in a world of demand but unfortunately things take time. Comparing yourself to the person on social media is only a snap shot. It doesn’t show the sacrifices they make, the time to get there. Let’s not forget things like photoshop still exist. Be where your feet are at & look to forward in your own direction/ rates. Rather than focusing on the outcome, switch your focus to the process.


  • Lack of Accountability: Many women struggle with consistency because they lack accountability. When you're solely responsible for your own progress, it's easy to make excuses and skip workouts. To combat this, consider finding a training partner or joining a group fitness class where you'll be held accountable by others. Alternatively, you could hire a personal trainer who will help keep you on track and provide the necessary support and guidance.


  • Poor Time Management: Time management is another common barrier to consistency. With busy schedules and competing priorities, finding time to train can be challenging. However, making exercise a priority and scheduling it into your day can help ensure that you stay on track. Whether it's waking up early to hit the gym before work or squeezing in a workout during your lunch break, find a time that works for you and stick to it.


  • Lack of Enjoyment: If you dread your workouts, it's unlikely that you'll stick with them over the long term. Finding activities that you enjoy and look forward to can make all the difference when it comes to consistency. Experiment with different types of exercise until you find something that you genuinely enjoy, whether it's running, cycling, swimming, or dancing. Remember, exercise doesn't have to be a chore – it can be a fun and rewarding way to challenge yourself and improve your health.
